Wildplay was founded in 2013 by Nancy Carter, a mother of two young girls, who wanted to create an opportunity for children to creatively engage with nature. Now run by Beky Daly the heart of Wildplay is still passionate about children engaging with their natural surroundings, and in an ever more technology-based world, Wildplay is an ultimate escape to the adventures of a simpler time.
Under the blue skies, or sheltered in the magical Wildplay tent children are introduced to some of natures most fascinating facts and offered the opportunity to explore their surroundings and to recreate different cultures or creatures ideas of life and vitality. From dinosaurs to didgeridoos, pirates to pythons, Wildplay aims to enchant the heart and soul of every child who comes our way.

If you are interested in working for Wildplay we are always looking for friendly, fun, creative people to run sessions. you will need to hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DRB check, and an up-to-date basic first aid qualification.
The good folk at Emmaus kindly allow us to use their Secret Garden (signposted through the tunnel). Parents of children 5 or over may leave (if their child is happy and confident) and have a wander around the fabulous Emmaus Secondhand Superstore which sells furniture, household goods and clothing, the Emporium for vintage, retro and upcycled goods, or simply have a glorious breakfast and read the papers in the sunny café Revive. There is also the latest attraction – the Greenhouse at Emmaus, which provides inspiration for the creative gardener, so plenty to keep you occupied. Parents must stay onsite and every child under 5 must be accompanied at the session.
